Block paving driveways, done properly.
Classic block paving installed the right way — proper dig-out, MOT Type 1 sub-base, concrete edge restraint and a tight, level finish that won't rock, sink or pop out years down the line.
Overview
What we do & why it lasts.
Block paving is the classic British driveway and it is still a great choice when laid properly. The vast majority of failed block paving drives we see fail because of one thing: a poor sub-base.
We dig out to the right depth, lay and compact a 150mm+ MOT Type 1 sub-base, set falls for drainage, install a concrete edge restraint, then lay blocks on a sharp sand bedding before vibrating in and brushing kiln-dried sand into the joints.
The result is a flat, tight, properly-engineered surface that handles cars, vans and decades of British weather without sinking, rocking or rutting.
Benefits
Why homeowners choose this finish.
Repairable
If a block ever cracks or a service trench is needed, individual blocks lift and re-lay invisibly.
Huge style choice
Tegula, riven, smooth, large-format, charcoal, buff, autumn blends — choose any look.
Built-in drainage
Permeable options available for SuDS compliance, or fall-shed designs to a soakaway.
Long lifespan
Properly laid block paving lasts 25+ years with nothing more than the odd reseal.
